Besides being a great place to observe and photograph all forms of wildlife with a multitude bird and animal species, Bosque del Apache is probably the best place worldwide to photograph Snow Geese and Sandhill Cranes during their southern migration stopover. Each morning the Snow Geese will blast-off in massive numbers at dawn—directly overhead and in the distance against a mountain backdrop and orange sky. The experience alone is one you will never forget. The photo-op is unparalleled.
