The Crealdé School of Art Presents:
8 sessions, 6 classroom sessions and 2 Saturday field trips
October 22, - December 3, 2007

(The 2 field trips will be on location - see below)
Prerequisites: Photo I or similar experience.
Students will learn new skills needed to improve their nature photography. Subjects will include how to approach and photograph wildlife, flash and close-up nature photography. Students will practice their newly learned skills on two Saturday field trips. See below for class syllabus.

Syllabus:
10/22 (Monday): 1- Introduction, nature with a normal lens
a. Bring 3 of your best slides (nature or other)
b. Landscapes and niches
c. Weather and the seasons\
Each session hereafter (unless noted) will begin with a critique of student’s
current work; maximum of 3 images (slides or jpeg) per student for each session.
10/29 (Monday): 2- Telephoto photography I
a. Technique
b. Walk & Stalk method
c. Birds at the feeder
d. Building a perch
NOTE: No class on Monday 11/5
11/12 (Monday): 3- Telephoto photography II
e. Zoo and captive animals
f. Places to capture wilderness (exchange discussion)
11/17 (Saturday): 4- Meet at Patrish Park parking lot at 6:00 AM (for 6:48 AM sunrise)

a. A brief coverage of light and image magnification theory
b. Focusing close-ups

11/26 (Monday): 6- Macro photography II

12/1 (Saturday): 7- Meet at Patrish Park parking lot at 6:15 AM (for 6:59 AM sunrise)
