hotograph Great Blue Herons and some Great Egrets at the nest. This will be an all-day excursion with a three-hour drive each way. We will have approximately five hours of photography with almost guaranteed photo results. There are many nest sites and flying bird opportunities. We will stop for one hour at Oscar Scherer Park to photograph Scrub jays on the way home.

The trip requires a 300mm lens or longer, a tripod, film speed of 200 – 400 ISO and lots of it. If you are using digital cameras, be prepared to shoot at least 300 frames. We will be in one general location for the Venice segment, so consider patience, lunch, and a folding chair as optional equipment. Bring lunch (optional)—there are fast-food restaurants within a short driving distance. Fee $55.

We will meet at 5:45 AM and form car pools at Lake Rose, Orlando, FL.  We must depart from Orlando at 6 AM, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. We will head for home about 2 PM in order to arrive at Orlando by 5 PM.
