Oakland Preserve

This will be a 3-part workshop.
Wednesday, 03/01/23 – Zoom: pre workshop prep class, 7:00–8:00 pm
Saturday, 03/04/23 - 8:00 am – 3:00 pm+ Field work at Oakland Preserve, 8:00 am–2:00 pm
Wednesday, 03/08/23 – Zoom: Show & Tell Critique, 7:00–9:00 pm
The plan is to be at the Oakland Preserve parking lot on Wednesday morning, rain or shine. We will walk along the 3/4 mile boardwalk and find good nature subjects. The boardwalk ends at a gazebo that overlooks Lake Apopka—were we will gather again, and review work from your camera back. We will also look for flying Osprey and hopefully learn something about their fishing skills.
In Addition to your DSLR or mirrorless camera with its normal lens, bring a 300mm or longer lens (a tele-extender would help), and a tripod. Bring bug spray if bugs like you. Wear comfortable walking shoes. We will be walking about 2 miles.
